We have pre-booked the following dates for Trips to Mozambique... if you are keen to join us please get in touch as soon as possible as it's on a first come first to go basis..

:November 7-10th 2009.... there are only two places left... for this trip!!

: December ? We have managed to book a trip in December but don't know the confrmed dates yet. Will confirm as soon as I can.

: January 16-23rd 2010 ... only 2 places left for this week.

: February 20-23rd 2010

: March 20-23rd 2010

We can take 6 people at a time (8 including Bogart and myself) and we stay in the self catering chalets.... we like to focus on the fishing and prefer a few comforts... hot showers, toilets, a kitchen and a cleaner who makes the bed every morning suit me just fine.

The only thing you cannot take is an appliance with an element so if you are into your hair dryer... you're going to have to bite the bullet and live with the disappointment. Gas is King in Mozambique almost all the appliances are gas and yes there is a fridge to keep the beer cold.

The cost for the trips is R2500 this is inclusive of food, transport and petrol.... we do bring beer but you'll have to bring or buy your own spirits... There is a small shop at Malongane where you can get your sugar fix after a mornings fishing and where we get fresh Pau every morning...

We've chosen these days because we know the fish are there and the weather has been organised accordingly...

Cheers Anton

destination-moz110 of us loyal fans of Eric’s Canoes went to Ponto Malongane for a weekend of fishing!!!

Eric’s Canoes have a new ski out and Fishingski.com has a whole new look … and we needed to get as many photos as possible for our new Gallery section and to comment on one of our new Destination stops.

We left early on Friday morning the 10th October ’08 and returned on Monday 13th October’08. The accommodation was fantastic and slept 10, on a self-catering basis.

destination-moz2Cost
R2500 for the weekend, this includes accommodation, transport, petrol, food and beer kitty. (If you want spirits you’ll have to bring your own) We have some One off Eric’s shirts and other stuff for you to try out over the weekend.

We have trailer space for 10 Eric’s fishing skis and I will collect your Fishing ski’s prior to departure as well as arrange for you to be fetched from home(or as near as possible) on the morning of departure… your return is based on your fishing performance over the weekend.

destination-moz3What we need from you is…… a commitment and a R750 deposit, the first to commit first to go rule applies and no amount of tears will soften my heart. The balance is payable closer to departure.( Your deposit will be added  to the beer kitty should you fail to pitch…)

Now that you are in I need to know your shirt size, you beer preference, your food tastes…..Breakfast preferences, Dinner, Beef…chicken (fish you can get your own) or Vegetarian.

Passports are required and if you don’t have a South African passport you’ll need a Visa it’s about R750 for a month visa and you don’t have much time to get one.

It would be great if you can join Gary Clarke and myself for the trip….
Please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0823250726 of email me on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

In anticipation!!! Anton Hawkes
