Mozambique with Eric’s Canoes and FishingSki.com…..
Written by Administrator    Tuesday, 27 January 2009 20:11

So we are back to taking 3 vehicles, more from the kitty on petrol but more space to take a few extra things…. Flippers and snorkels and maybe a small surf stick.

Let’s try pack with limited space in mind …. So no hairdryers and handbags from the Winkle boys please!! “Radox Man” have sponsored us some ‘Cool Man’ stuff so at least you’ll not smell like sardines all weekend. Island Tribe have sponsored us some Sun Creams and other stuff to keep you from burning to a crisp….and our Fishingski.com long sleeve fishing shirts will help attract those Couta and Sail-fish to the Ski.

I had a meeting with Gary this afternoon and it was decided to spice up the weekend there would be 2 Fishing competitions during our stay. The weekend will be known as the “ERIC’S CANOE INVITATIONAL” and 2 Floating trophies are on offer along with some great prizes from KINGFISHER etc.

Saturday will see us fish for the Individual title and Sunday will see us all fish in a team format…. Teams of 4 are to be drawn from a hat the night before to keep it fair. Competition rules are to be decided on after an afternoon of refreshments ……and will be recorded on paper to eliminate any miss-interpretations later.

Smurphy Lures have given us an assortment of traces for us to try out and to comment on after… Smurphy is making our new range of lures and wants to develop an entire range dedicated to ‘Fishing ski’s’ only!!! We’ll be selling them under our own brand name…. still to be decided on so if you have any ideas please forward them.

We are looking to arrive at the border post at 7am on Friday so a little bit of organisation needs to be done here… I’ll be in touch with you all individually shortly.

A few other awards are on offer for the weekend, your comments and suggestions for what they may be are welcome….

Deposits have been coming in nicely and remember you need to pay R750 by 25 September 08 and the balance on 05 October 08…. Bank details follow below.

As the wind keeps blowing and fishing becomes a distant memory I cannot wait to get away for the weekend…..

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
